Chapter 3 of 16 of the Ocarina of Time remake walkthrough, played as Young Link, in 6 steps.

Cross the field before night falls (Stalchildren spawn after dark), explore the Market, and sneak into the castle.

Follow the path north across Hyrule Field to the drawbridge. In the Market, visit the Bazaar, Potion Shop and the Shooting Gallery if you like, then head up the north road to Hyrule Castle.
Talk to Malon by the castle gate, then climb the vines behind the guard and go past the gate. Malon gives you the Weird Egg near the castle; wait a day for it to hatch.
Use the Cucco to wake Talon sleeping by the moat. Push the milk crates to make a bridge into the drainage hole.
Sneak through the courtyard past the guards (stay in the hedges' blind spots) to meet Zelda. Look through the window to see Ganondorf. You receive Zelda's Letter.
Impa teaches Zelda's Lullaby and escorts you out to the field.
Optional: show the letter at the Happy Mask Shop to start the mask trading quest. Tip: The mask quest is the only way to get the Mask of Truth.
