Dodongo's Cavern

Bombs away

Chapter 6 of 16 of the Ocarina of Time remake walkthrough, played as Young Link, in 6 steps.

A lava cavern full of Bomb Flowers. Watch for Beamos (they see 360 degrees) and Lizalfos.

Blow up the cracked wall ahead with a Bomb Flower. Get the Dungeon Map from the room with the Baby Dodongos.
Fight the pair of Lizalfos, light the torches, and continue to the room with the moving bridges to find the Bomb Bag.
Climb to the upper walkway and drop bombs into the giant Dodongo skull's eyes to open the way to the boss.
Boss: King Dodongo. Throw a bomb (or Bomb Flower) into his mouth as he inhales, then slash. Dodge his roll by standing against the lava's inner wall. Tip: Bombs from the flowers around the arena are unlimited.
Collect the Heart Container. Outside, Darunia gives you the Goron's Ruby.
Optional now that you have bombs: Great Fairy at the top of Death Mountain (Magic Meter), Din's Fire at Hyrule Castle, and dozens of bombable secrets. Check the Finder tab.
