# Pieces of Heart in Kakariko Village

In the original Ocarina of Time, Kakariko Village has **4 Pieces of Heart** (of 36 in the game). This list is for the Nintendo Switch 2 remake and is checked against it as players confirm each one. How to get each:

- **Man on the roof** — A man sits on the roof of the house near the village entrance. Reach him by jumping from the watchtower as a child or by hookshotting up as an adult, then talk to him.
- **Impa's house / Cucco pen roof** — Land on the roof of Impa's house (the cow's house behind the Cucco pen) and drop through the opening into the fenced-in enclosure. The piece sits beside the cow.
- **Windmill** — Inside the windmill a piece spins on one of the rotating platforms high above the floor. Grab it with the Boomerang as a child, or walk onto it as an adult after finishing Dampe's race.
- **House of Skulltula (50 tokens)** — Once you have turned in 50 Gold Skulltula Tokens, the fifth cursed family member in the House of Skulltula is freed and gives you a Piece of Heart.
